For the same country estate, for which we carried out a variety of developments, it was necessary to design and develop a summer shower.
The plot opens onto the shore of a reservoir, has its own sandy beach area and a volleyball court. After starting to use all these amenities of civilization, the need arose to wash sand off your feet or body somewhere, or simply to freshen up under clean running water.
In a natural setting, and against the backdrop of natural materials for the building and fence, it was necessary to create an object that would harmoniously complement the environment.
We proposed an idea with two concentric portals made of polished heat-treated stainless steel. The larger portal is for a full-body shower, and the smaller one is for rinsing sand off your feet. To receive water, a base with low sides and a drain was formed. This base was made of a special grade of concrete and tiled with frost-resistant porcelain stoneware mosaic. Additionally, a special platform was created for easier use of the smaller portal for feet.
By installing several rectangular funnels in a row, a kind of screen-wall effect was created with the water. The noble color of polished stainless steel, achieved through heat treatment technology, resembling brass or bronze, allowed for the avoidance of contrasting color schemes, and the entire structure blends softly into its surroundings.
The result was stylish, simple, reliable, high-quality, expressive, and convenient. Our long-time partners, the company “Metalstyle,” were responsible for the implementation of the stainless steel portals. As always, everything was done at the highest level.
They even tested it on themselves – awesome!
