The client is required to understand the desired outcome, have enthusiasm in achieving the goal, and fully trust the architect!
An architect is required to have the ability to listen to the client, to «translate» their desires into the language of architecture – volumetric-spatial and color solutions, compositional accents, ergonomics, proportions, and, of course, beauty, utility, durability, and safety.
Extremely rare are the cases where truly standing structures that delight the eyes of contemporaries and descendants are created without the help of an architect. And although in our country there is a prevalent opinion that everyone is their own builder, there is a fact that Kharkiv would not be the city we know without the unique and inimitable projects of Beketov, Rzhepishevsky, Pokrovsky, Velichko, Korneyenko, Vasilyev, and other worthy specialists. And there are so many examples when construction, reconstruction, or facade cladding are carried out without the involvement of an architect. This applies to any city, town, or architectural object in our entire civilized world. After all, the word Architect, from ancient Greek, translates as Archi - chief and Tecton - builder, meaning chief builder. Thus, even in the ancient world, people perceived the architect as the main person during construction.
Architectural design cost: from 85 UAH per 1 sq. m. of total building area for the development of the architectural design section (AP)
The price is approximate and is discussed individually for each specific case, depending on the task.
Architectural design is divided into several stages:
Stage 1: Task setting, site visit, taking necessary measurements, obtaining initial data: geodetic survey, geology, drawing up the technical specification.;
Stage 2: completion of the “Conceptual Design” stage - “CD”, which consists of visualizations of the exterior appearance, site plan, layouts, sections and elevations, as well as main technical and economic indicators;
Stage 3: Execution of the “Project” stage - “P”, which may consist not only of architectural drawings - “AR”, but also of other project sections, such as: general plan “GP”, technology “TX”, water supply and sewerage ”VK”, heating, ventilation and air conditioning “OViK”, metal and reinforced concrete structures “KM” and “KB”, electrical engineering solutions “ETR”, fire alarm/fire notification/fire extinguishing “PS”, “PP” and “APG”, as well as an explanatory note “PZ”. We perform this set of drawings in compliance with all current regulations and rules in the field of design, and if necessary, it can undergo all necessary approvals and project expertise.
Stage 4: Execution of the “Working Project” stage – “WP”. This is a more detailed stage than «Project,» supplemented with the necessary drawings for issuance to the construction site and executed in accordance with current norms and rules.
Stage 5: supervision of construction work. This is a comprehensive project management that includes regular or as-needed site visits by the designer or a team of designers to the construction site in order to control the correct execution of construction work and to resolve issues that arise during construction, and they, of course, always arise.
