THE "BRIDGE" PROJECT

This bridge was our first implemented project in this category. And it is one of the most interesting objects on the estate.
A sketch drawn by hand directly over a printed photograph of the site was completed half an hour before meeting the client. Two options were proposed. The client chose this one. The light, dynamic-looking, and elegant bridge structures are created by analogy with the modern shipbuilding and bridge theme. The inclined supports with metal elements made of round stock, imitating cables or ropes, as well as the railing fences with polished stainless steel handrails, repeating the shape of the main load-bearing structures of the bridge, evoke analogies with the rigging of sailing vessels and the aquatic environment. This allows the bridge to harmoniously fit into the context of the site where the object is located.
The arch of the bridge was dictated by the client's wish for a person in a boat to be able to pass under it. This also favorably influenced the bridge's appearance. Speaking of reflections, in clear weather, the bridge's structures, along with their reflections in the water, create a very picturesque scene.
The color wasn't chosen on the first try; several paint samples were done. As a result, they settled on powder coating. The complex sand-gray color looks very natural and perfectly complements the large pebbles along the banks, the oak logs bordering the reservoir, and the sandy beach.
The decking of the pedestrian section of the bridge is made of Merbau, a valuable hardwood decking material, which harmonizes very well in color with the clinker paving stones of the pedestrian paths and roadways on the territory.
The construction of the bridge (as well as the adjacent footbridge) was undertaken by our long-time partners, the company «Metalstyle.» And they didn't let us down! As always, everything was done at the highest level. Although there were some installation challenges related to the impossibility of access for a mobile crane, they were mounted MANUALLY!
It turned out elegant, functional, and beautiful!
