BEREZHOK RIVERSIDE – a project for a recreation and leisure complex on the banks of the picturesque Siverskyi Donets River, near the city of Chuhuiv, Kharkiv Oblast.

At the time the design began, two swimming pool bowls and a bath complex with recreation rooms, as well as a restaurant building, were already located on the site and were under construction.

Our main goal was to develop a comprehensive solution that ensures an intuitive connection between the complex's objects and integrates them into the natural environment.

The project includes functional zoning of the territory, volumetric design of small architectural forms, and landscape design of the site.

Walking along a forest path, we find ourselves at an entrance portal that invites us to a place of cozy relaxation and active leisure.

The entrance area opens up to a central composition of two pools—one for children and one for adults.

Changing rooms with restrooms and outdoor showers are spread around the pools. Their design integrates into the environment using wood and concrete textures, emphasizing natural qualities.

The food court area begins immediately after the entrance group, which has a children's playground with a composite surface, smoothly transitions to a relaxation area with loungers, and envelops the space near the pool.

Here are located individual sun loungers as well as more private gazebos along a large arc.

Behind the greenery is an active zone with a beach volleyball court.

A summer bar with a stage and an upper-level seating area deserves special attention. It is located on the compositional axis of the adult pool and the entrance to the natural river beach. The flowing contours of the awnings covering the stage and bar resemble sails. The bar's design supports the overall concept, with wood and raw concrete structures interacting here as well.

The bar's flat roof features a lounge area with an incredible view of the entire complex and the natural river landscape.

The cozy evening atmosphere is enhanced by the illumination of the spaces, in the form of lighting for the pools, garlands, and low lanterns that light up the pedestrian areas.
